BURLINGTON, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's golf team wrapped the first day of the Elon Phoenix Invitational with a score of -4. The Royals are tied for fourth place with Charleston Southern heading into tomorrow's final round.
UNC-Wilmington leads the field of 16 teams with a score of -21. Elon is second after finishing the day -18, while Longwood is third with a score of -6.

- Ed Davis birdied six holes in the opening round to finish the round three-under par.
- Thomas Taylor-Cross was steady across the two rounds of play, finishing even for the day.
- Jack Boyer of Gardner Webb and Landon Durham of Elon are tied for first place individually after both shot a 133 to sit nine under.
