Queens Men's Golf Set to Begin Play in ASUN Championships Tomorrow

ASUN Championship | Kinderlou Forest Golf Club | April 21-23 | LEADERBOARD
 
VALDOSTA, Ga. – Queens men's golf is set to take the course at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Ga., for the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship Tuesday through Thursday. Golfers will be playing 18 holes each day of the championship event.
 
OPENING TEE
Staggered tee times of five-minute increments will begin on Tuesday, April 21, between 8 and 9:35 a.m., off the first and 10th tees with No. 1 FGCU, No. 2 Stetson, No. 3 North Alabama, No. 4 Lipscomb, No. 5 North Florida and No. 6 Jacksonville teeing off on hole one while No. 7 Central Arkansas, No. 8 EKU, No. 9 Austin Peay, No. 10 Queens, No. 11 West Georgia and No. 12 Bellarmine teeing off on the 10th hole. Rounds two and three start times will be based on team standings following the previous day's round.

LAST TIME OUT
Queens closed the regular season with a T12 finish at the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge. Ed Davis secured a T27 finish after shooting a 69 in the final round to move 29 spots up the leaderboard.

2025 ASUN CHAMPIONSHIP 
Queens finished eighth at last year's championship event. Taylor-Cross, Richards, and Davis are returning to compete again after tying for 19th, 31st, and 37th place, respectively.
 
ABOUT DIRECTOR OF GOLF CHRISTIAN PICKEREL 
Pickerel is coaching in his first ASUN Championship after taking over the Royals' men's and women's golf programs ahead of the 2025-2026 academic year. Before coming to Queens, he was the assistant women's golf coach at Lincoln Memorial, helping them capture top 25 rankings in 2023 and 2024. In addition to assisting with the women's squad, Pickerel helped the men's team win the 2025 SAC Championship and finish in the top 10 at the NCAA Championship.
