Michel Feldman Nets Eighth Career Goal in Royals 2-1 Loss at Winthrop

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Despite taking a 1-0 lead into the break, the Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team dropped a Friday night frenzy at Winthrop University by a final score of 2-1. The Eagles found the back of the net twice over the final 45 minutes to storm from behind and even the all-time series 1-1.

TURNING POINT
After taking a 1-0 lead into the break, the Eagles found the equalizer in the 65th minute when Borris Nguelle found Caleb Swenson who dished a ball into the box to Ryan Armijo for the equalizer. With eight minutes remaining in the match, the Eagles earned a penalty kick after a costly foul in the box. Diomario Adamson put the free opportunity away for the game-winner.
 
KEY STATS & NOTES
  • Junior Michel Feldman netted his first goal of the season, and eighth of his career in the loss. Feldman turned in 68 minutes of work on the pitch.
  • Coming off an ASUN Player of the Week honor, senior Ciro Bourlot Jaeggi dished out his second assist of the season. On the goal, Cole Pumpian set up the scoring opportunity with his second assist in as many games.

  • The Winthrop attack was aggressive all night as the Eagles outshot the Royals 14-7.
  • The Eagles were opportunistic generating 10 corners while holding Queens to one.
