CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Queens University of Charlotte triathlon team has been ranked third in the 2024 Collegiate Triathlon Coaches Association Preseason Poll.
The Royals followed Arizona State and Arizona who came in at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, while Denver ranked fourth and TCU wrapped the top five.
"We're honored to, again, be ranked among the top Division I triathlon programs in the country," said Queens Director of Triathlon
Sonni Dyer. "The 2024 season will be a historic benchmark year as our sport works to make the transition from NCAA Emerging to Championship status. Since the day we entered NCAA DI, our goal has been to earn Queens that first DI National Championship. Our group is solid and we're on track."
Queens finished second at last year's national championship for the second straight year. Three out of four CTCA All-Americans are returning to compete this season from that team. They will kick off their 2024 campaign this weekend, racing in the Bulldog Super Sprint.
