CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's lacrosse team (2-11, 1-8) closed out the 2024 season with an ASUN regular season game at Utah (10-4, 8-1), falling 25-8 to the Utes.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Royals found themselves down early following a 3-0 spurt by the Utes in the first 1:30 of action. Queens'
Chase Black responded with a goal, but four more followed for Utah to put them in front 7-1 heading into the second quarter.
Following another goal from Queens' Black, the Utes would score 10 unanswered goals before the halftime break to put today's game away.
KEY STATS & NOTES
- Chase Black, Callin Harris, and Ethan Scaffidi each scored two goals to lead Queens.
- Jordan Hyde led Utah with six goals while Ryan Stines recorded a hat trick.
- In goal, Wesley Wheat totaled 19 saves for Queens.
- Queens totaled 21 shots on goals compared to Utah's 44 shots on goal
- The Utes also won the battle for ground balls, 49-26, and won 21 face offs to Queens' 16.
