CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte Royals (8-6, 2-1) faced Coastal Carolina (10-4, 3-0) this afternoon in ASUN Conference play, falling 21-14 to the Chanticleers.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Queens jumped out to a 2-0 lead early before the Chants got on the board with back-to-back scores. Things remained even at the end of the period, 4-4, thanks to three straight goals from
Kayleen Favreau. Queens took the lead twice more in the second before three unanswered goals from Coastal Carolina put them on top for good.
The Chants extended their lead in the third quarter outscoring the home team 9-4 and putting the game out of reach heading into the final 15 minutes of regulation.

- Kayleen Favreau finished with six goals and two assists to lead Queens. Elise Grissett added a hat trick and three assists.
- Lily Greenwell scored her first career goal in the game.
- In goal, Carolina Kraemer totaled 12 saves for Queens in 47:05.
- Maddie Bates led the Chants with six goals while Avery McIlwaine added four goals. Sydney McClure and Alyson Mascolo each recorded hat tricks.
