THE SHORT STORY: The Queens University of Charlotte Men's tennis secure back-to-back wins after a 7-0 sweep win over Methodist University on Thursday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Royals took the doubles point to start the match winning after Arenui Luethi and Ram Mude won 6-4 at Line 1 and Griffin Lovern and Filippo Verdese were victorious at Line 2 with a 6-0 mark.
-Arenui Luethi found success at the top singles line which gives the freshman his first No.1 singles win. Luethi dropped the first set 4-6, won the second set 6-3, and won the tiebreaker 1-0.
-Ram Mude continued his winning streak to 6 singles wins. This win came in No. 2 doubles today where he won 6-1, 6-0.
-Filippo Verdese picked up his sixth singles win of the second winning at Line 3 with 6-1 and 6-0 marks.
-Zachary Dacaba secured a singles win with 6-3 marks in both sets in No. 4 singles
-Griffin Lovern pulled out a singles win after battling his competition. Lovern won the first set 6-2 and lost the second set 3-6. The match was won with a tiebreaker set 1-0
-No. 6 singles was won by Lukas Gosselin winning 6-2, 6-3 on the day.
NEXT UP
The Royals are back in action at home for their ASUN Opener on Sunday, March 10th against Bellarmine University. The match is set to begin at 12:00 p.m.
