THE SHORT STORY: Despite four Royals scoring in double figures, the Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team fell 83-71 in the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament Quarterfinals on Tuesday evening.

BY THE NUMBERS
- AJ McKee led the Royals on offense pouring in 21 points on the night. The Charlotte native finished the season eclipsing 20 points in four consecutive games.
- Nassau native Deyton Albury filled the stat sheet with 14 points, six rebounds, and a team-leading three assists. The junior guard exceeded double figures in 16-of-18 ASUN contests this year.
- Senior forward BJ McLaurin added 14 points in his final game of his Royals career. The Fayetteville native also pulled down seven rebounds.Â
- Highflyer Jacobi Sebock provided valuable minutes off the bench for Queens once again. The junior forward scored 10 points, marking the sixth time this year he has reached double figures. Sebock also pulled in a team-high nine rebounds in 24 minutes of action.
- Rookie Bryce Cash added nine points, pulled in seven rebounds, and swiped a steal on the evening.
- For the Hatters, Aubin Gateretse's presence down low challenged the Royals. The junior center scored 20 points, grabbed six rebounds, and swatted away three Royals shots.
- The Hatters defense stifled the Royals offense holding the visitors to a 38 percent mark from the field and 6-for-28 from deep. Queens fell to 1-6 on the season when they made six or fewer shots from beyond-the-arc.
NOTABLE MOMENTS
- The Hatters defense stifled the Royals offense early, as the hosts jumped out to a 29-17 lead. Following a Queens timeout, the Royals stormed to a 7-0 run to trim the deficit back down to 29-24.
- A Chris Ashby three cut the Hatters lead to 42-41 early in the second half. The Hatters defense would tighten up, as they extended their lead to 52-41 on the back of a 10-0 run.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
- The loss eliminated the Royals for the second straight season in the ASUN Tournament Quarterfinals.
- The Royals attacked the offensive glass with authority. The Royals continued to battle despite trailing as they pulled in 16 offensive rebounds, which they converted into 14 second chance points.
- The charity stripe proved to be a huge difference maker down the stretch as the Hatters were a nearly perfect 14-of-15 from the line on the evening. The Royals went 11-for-16 from the line.
- Stetson was opportunistic as they converted eight Royals turnovers into 12 points the other way.Â
