The Short Story: The Queens University of Charlotte baseball team dropped game two of the weekend series to North Florida on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-North Florida jumped on the board first with a run on two hits. After Tripp McKinlay singled down the right field line to put runners on the corners, Jabin Bates laced an RBI single into left field for the early 1-0 lead.
-Queens answered in the bottom of the second inning with a timely swing from Tyler Peters. After Jake Barbour reached on an error and stole second base, senior Tyler Peters delivered a clutch two-out RBI single into center field.
-The visiting Ospreys responded immediately in the top of the third inning with back-to-back home runs from Jakob Runnels and Cherokee Nichols to regain a 3-1 lead.
-North Florida added a run in the top of the fifth behind two hits extending their lead to 4-1. However, a pair of great defensive plays from Will Budnick and JJ Sousa limited the damage.
-Queens answered in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run on no hits and two Osprey errors. With Tyler Peters on third and two outs, Matthew Suppa reached on a throwing error by the first baseman to cut the deficit to 4-2.
-North Florida opened up their lead in the top of the sixth inning with six runs on three hits. The Ospreys capitalized on five walks in the inning to take a commanding 10-2 lead.
-The Ospreys plated two more insurance runs in the top of the seventh behind three hits. Tripp McKinlay roped an RBI single to right field before a sacrifice fly from Jabin Bates scored the 12th run.
