CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Queens put up a determined fight on the road against North Florida, but ultimately fell in straight sets (18-25, 17-25, 20-25) in a challenging ASUN Conference matchup on Saturday, November 9.

Queens began with a confident energy, as Kendall Buish set up Anna Grace Sparks for an early kill, giving the Royals a quick lead in the first set. North Florida responded, but Queens stayed close, with kills from Alleigh Johnson and Kayla McDuffie. Jordyn Johnson and Tilley Collins played pivotal roles defensively, keeping rallies alive with key digs. The Royals took advantage of North Florida errors to stay within striking distance, and Buish's service ace brought the score to 18-22. However, North Florida surged ahead with efficient kills to clinch the first set 25-18.
Queens fought hard to rebound in the second set, with Buish orchestrating the offense, setting up Jordyn Johnson and Emma Norris for early kills. Alleigh Johnson's attacking proved valuable, as she kept Queens competitive, tallying kills and adding a service ace. The Royals responded with back-to-back kills from McDuffie and Sparks to keep the score close. However, North Florida's front row maintained a strong blocking presence, stifling Queens' attempts to gain momentum. North Florida's attack ultimately sealed the set at 25-17.
Queens started strong in the third frame, exchanging points with North Florida. Early kills from McDuffie and a powerful block by Jordyn Johnson fueled Queens' intensity. Sargent joined the attack, notching a couple of key kills to keep the Royals close, with Buish adding an ace to bring the score to 15-19. At 20-24, Queens staved off match point with kills from McDuffie and Johnson. However, North Florida's Jacqueline Arrington delivered the final blow with a kill to end the set 25-20, completing a 3-0 win over Queens.
