In a fast-paced contest at Curry Arena, the Queens University women's basketball team fell to Longwood University, 80-66, in a non-conference women's basketball contest. Queens showcased competitive energy early on but ultimately struggled to keep pace with Longwood's consistent scoring. In the loss the Royals dropped to 1-3 overall, while the Lancers improved to 4-2.Ā

- Jordyn Weaver led Queens with 17 points on an efficient 8-for-11 shooting night. She dominated the boards with 7 rebounds and added 3 assists.Ā Weaver has reached double figures in all four games this season. Ā
- Guard Ana Barreto was a sharpshooter on Monday night, scoring 14 points on 6-for-10 shooting, including 2-for-5 from three-point range. Barreto also contributed a team high 4 assists.Ā

Queens started strong, outscoring Longwood 17-16 in the opening period. Longwood would surge ahead in the second quarter, outscoring Queens 21-11. The Royals cut the Longwood ledĀ to nine points in the third period, but it was not enough to overcome the deficit the rest of the way.Ā
