THE SHORT STORY: The Royals fell at home to Stetson University on Friday night inside Curry Arena by a final score of 84-66.

BY THE NUMBERS
- Senior guard AJ McKee led the Royals with 22 points on the evening. It was the Charlotte native's fifth time eclipsing 20 points on the year.
- Nassau native Deyton Albury added 14 points of his own, while tying the team-high in rebounds with seven, and dishing out a team-leading four assists
- High-flying junior forward, Jacobi Sebock, poured in 10 points off the bench for the Royals. It marked the third time Sebock scored double-digit points on the season.
- Freshman forward Bryce Cash pulled down seven rebounds, tying the team lead. The freshman stuffed the stat sheet, dishing out three assists, and swiping two steals.
- For the Hatters, senior guard Stephan Swanson remained in control for the visitors. Swanson scored 16 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out a team-high five assists.
- Stetson was incredibly efficient on the evening, as they shot 50-percent from the field, and 40-percent from behind-the-arc.
NOTABLE MOMENTS
- The Hatters defense stifled the Royals early, as an early 12-0 run for the visitors gave them a 14-2 lead.
- The Royals would claw back, however, trimming the Hatters lead to as little as 29-27 in the first half. The Hatters would ultimately take a 40-34 lead into halftime.
- Stetson exploded to an 18-4 run in the second half, to take a commanding 66-46 lead with 9:34 to play.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
- In the second half, the Hatters shot a blistering 58-percent from the field.
- The Royals looked to speed up the pace against the slower paced Hatters, as they scored 19 transition points, while holding the Hatters to six.
- The Hatters took a slim 40-34 lead into the halftime break. With the loss, the Royals fall to 1-9 in games where they trail at the intermission.
- The rebounding advantage went to the Hatters, as they outrebounded the Royals 29-24, and held a 10-7 on the offensive glass.
- The Royals went 4-for-18 from the three-point line. It marked their lowest total baskets from behind-the-arc on the season.

NEXT UP
The Royals are back in action next Thursday, January 18th, as they travel to the Sunshine State to take on Jacksonville University. Queens faced Jacksonville once last year, where they ultimately fell, 77-70, on the road against the Dolphins.
