After the initial kick was deflected out by Queens, UCA midfielder Sydney Brough received the deflection and shot it past goalkeeper Erica Turner to give the Bears a 1-0 lead. Despite several offensive attacks late in the match, the Royals were unable to respond and lost by that score.
