FLORENCE, ALA. – A tough defensive battle results in the Queens University of Charlotte women's soccer team's (2-4-2 overall, 0-1-1 ASUN) second scoreless draw of the season against in the North Alabama Lions (5-2-3 overall, 1-0-1 ASUN). This is the third draw for the Lions who came into the match on a four-game winning streak.
Turning Point
In a match where the Royals did not produce much offense, the difference in the match proved to be the relentless defense of the Queens backline and goalkeeper.
Erica Turner faced the most shots attempted by a team this season with 20 shots coming off the boots of seven different Lions players. The graduate goalkeeper saved seven shots with her diving save in the 85th minute being the biggest play of the game. The save took away the Lions last and best attempt to hit the back of the net.
