-Eastern Kentucky would answer in the top of the third with a five-spot on five hits. The inning was capped off by a grand slam from Miguel Larreal.

-The Colonels extended their lead in the fifth inning with four runs on four hits. EKU strung together three straight singles and a walk before DJ Sullivan rounded out the scoring with a two-run single to center field.

Following a flyout, JJ Sousa ripped an RBI double to left center.
