Coaches Quote
"Team wise, it was a tough week for us," head coach
Andrew Serketich stated. "Close to being solid but a couple of shots here or there kept us from a top finish.
Individually, Ollie was great! He was in contention from the first hole yesterday. Played a lot of really solid golf and I know he feels like there's another gear to hit and hopefully we'll see it the rest of the year.
Otherwise, everyone had some really good flashes of golf but we lacked the consistency required to post good scores. Brook Valley is a tough golf course, it demands your full attention every shot and, in some ways, felt like a mini US Open.
Clayson tied for the second most pars made this week so he played pretty steadily throughout the event. Thomas had a really solid second round and despite the tough first nine today, he hung in there and shot a couple under par on the back nine.
It was another great experience for the guys and we'll regroup and get ready for Wofford in just under two weeks. Go Royals!"
