THE SHORT STORY: Despite claiming the doubles point, the Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis team dropped a midweek match against Hampton University on Wednesday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Royals captured the doubles point with victories at No. 1 and No. 2.
Edoardo Bottino and
Laurenz Blickwede won at the top court 6-2.
Edoardo Cecere and
Win Steveker improved to 6-1 as a pair with a 6-2 victory at No. 2.
-After dropping the opening set 6-7,
Win Steveker battled back at No. 2 to win 6-2, 6-4. The sophomore has won two straight and improved to 2-2 from the second slot.
-
Laurenz Blickwede cruised to a dominant 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 3 for his fifth straight win.
-Queens has lost the last three matches by a deciding point.

Queens will return to the court on Friday, March 17
th when they welcome Austin Peay State University at 10:00 a.m. Please note, the match was moved up to 10:00 a.m. to avoid any possible inclement weather in the evening. The match will be played at the Howard Levine Tennis Center at the Queens Sports Complex. Admission is free to the public.
