THE SHORT STORY
The Queens University of Charlotte women's tennis team dropped a non-conference Saturday match against Belmont Abbey College by a final score of 4-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Royals won the doubles point as they won at No. 1 and No. 2 to give them the lead early in the match. Hanna Axelsson and Katsiaryna Tuliakova improved their winning streak to four as they swept the Crusaders, 6-0. Jill Morse and Kelsey Sinclaire won 7-5 for their first win as a pair this season.
-On the top court, Katsiaryna Tuliakova swept the match for her seventh win this season, and third straight.  

-Hanna Axelsson improved to 8-5 overall, and 5-0 from the No. 3 court with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 victory.  

-Belmont Abbey would go on to win four singles matches to get the win. 

NEXT UP
The Royals will return home to face Hampton University on Wednesday, March 15 at 3:00 p.m. The match will take place at the Howard Levine Tennis Center and admission is free to the public.
