THE SHORT STORY
The Queens University of Charlotte baseball team won their first-ever Division I series at home versus Fairleigh Dickinson picking up today's game-two win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Knights started the first inning with three runs scored. An RBI single and a double with 2 RBIs caused Fairleigh Dickinson to take the early lead.
-Both teams went scoreless in the second inning. Queens allowed 0 runs and hits to keep the score 3-0.
-In the third inning, both teams got on base but were still scoreless to keep the score 3-0.
- Queens would then catch their stride in the 5
th inning when
Nick Alderfer grounded out to help bring home
Sam Hunter to make the score 3-1.
-The Royals would follow up with back-to-back RBIs to even the score 3-3 at the bottom of the 6
th inning.
-Queens would then take the lead at the bottom of the 7
th, courtesy of a four-hit, six-run inning from the Royals to make the score 9-3.
-The Royals continued the scoring as they brought in three runs to make the score 12-3 at the bottom of the 8
th. Â Â
- Fairleigh Dickinson attempted the comeback as they brought in four runs on five hits, but it wasn't enough as the Royals won 12-7.
