The Short Story: The Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team dropped their final home regular season game on Wednesday night against Liberty by a final score of 85-77.

BY THE NUMBERS
-Jay'Den Turner notched his 10th career double-double with a 15-point and 12-rebound performance.
-BJ McLaurin poured in a career-high 19 points behind a season-high 7-for-8 shooting clip. The Fayetteville native also brought down five rebounds.
-AJ McKee turned in his 29th double-digit performance of the season with a 17-point effort. The Charlotte native was a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe.
-Quan McCluney provided a first-half spark and finished with 10 points, including a pair of three-pointers.
-Kenny Dye stuffed the stat sheet with a nine-point, seven rebounds, and six assists night. The seven boards matched a season-high for the senior.
-After shooting 41 percent in the first half, Liberty managed to connect better in the final 20 minutes as they finished with a 49 percent shooting mark.
-The Royals won the battle on the boards 33-27.
-Queens got to the free throw line 21 times and successfully converted 19 attempts.
-The Royals committed 12 turnovers which the Flames converted into 12 points. The Flames defense, which ranks top 10 in the nation, swiped seven steals.

NOTABLE MOMENTS
-The Royals opened the game on a 7-3 run which forced an early Liberty timeout. Coming out of the timeout, the Flames responded with a 9-0 over a three-minute span.
-Queens would use a 10-2 run late in the first half to grab a 33-30 lead.
-Liberty opened the second half on a 7-0 run to grab a three-point advantage coming out of the break.
-Leading 50-44 in the second half, the Flames used a 12-6 run to extend their lead to the largest of the game at 12 which forced a Queens timeout.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
-The double-figure output from Turner marked his 13th this season.
-The Royals fell to 15-4 this season when outrebounding their opponent.
-With the loss, the Royals will head into the final game of the regular season hanging onto the No. 9 seed and needing a victory.

The Royals will wrap up the regular season on Friday, February 24th when they travel to Liberty for a Friday night showdown. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. from Liberty Arena.
