The Short Story: The Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball used an emphatic offensive performance, as five Royals reached double figures to drop Royals Carolina University 112-64 on Saturday afternoon.
 
BY THE NUMBERS
-Junior Chris Ashby led all scorers with 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting from behind the arc, including four three-pointers in the second half. The Houston, Texas native added three rebounds and two assists. The seven three-pointers tied for second all-time in a single game as Ashby has reached this feature twice this season.
-Point guard Deyton Albury stuffed the stat sheet again with 15 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals. The floor general has turned in double-figure scoring in eight games this season, including two straight.
-Senior forward BJ McLaurin poured in 14 points, while also grabbing a team-high eight rebounds. The Fayetteville native was an efficient 6-for-8 from the field.
-Senior guard AJ McKee totaled 11 points on the afternoon, and tied his career-high for assists, as he dished out four.
-Forward Jacobi Sebock reached double figures for the second game this season pouring in 10 points off the bench for the Royals.
-Jaxon Pollard provided valuable minutes off the bench, as he scored six points, and grabbed seven rebounds on the afternoon.
-High-flying senior guard Kalib Matthews had two electric dunks on the evening, as he totaled a season-high six points while adding four rebounds and three assists.
-Luke Krawczyk notched his career-high in points with nine on a perfect 3-for-3 from the field. The Fort Mill product notched two rebounds and an assist.
-All 12 eligible Royals checked into the game and recorded a basketball.
 
NOTABLE MOMENTS
-Queens had a blistering start, as they jumped out to an early lead as the Royals went into the first media timeout with a 13-2 advantage. During the first four minutes, the Royals connected on three-pointers from Bryce Cash and Chris Ashby.
-The Royals made six of their final seven field goals in the first half, en route to taking a commanding 56-38 lead into the break.
-The Royals sparked a 23-4 run in the second half to increase their lead to 46 while also reaching the century mark for the second time this season.
 
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
-The Royals were on fire in the first half connecting on 65 percent of their field goals, while shooting 40 percent from downtown. The mark from the field was the highest in a single-half this season for the Royals.
-Queens shot a season-high 61 percent from the field on the afternoon. The last time the Royals shot over 60 percent in a single game was January 14, 2023 against North Alabama.
-The Royals were active on the defensive end of the court swiping a season-high 14 steals.
-Queens improved to a 9-0 in home non-conference Division 1 games.
-The Royals dominated the glass outreboundng the Bruins 48-25, including 17 offensive rebounds, on the afternoon. 
-Queens facilitated the basketball efficiently dishing out 22 assists, the second-highest mark on the year.
