Brittany Pasut Named Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing, Ticketing, and Strategic Partnerships

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Queens University of Charlotte Director of Athletics Cherie Swarthout has announced Queens alum and Hall of Famer Brittany (Philip) Pasut as the new assistant athletic director for marketing, ticketing, and strategic partnerships.
 
"Join me in welcoming Brittany home," Swarthout stated. "Her experience in marketing at all levels of athletics, from grassroots to minor leagues and the Olympic games, will prove valuable in our next phase of growth. Brittany is an intentional connector and the right person to continue to move us forward."  
 
Pasut joined the marketing industry right after completing her undergraduate degree, taking a job at Atlantic Trading as a marketing/consumer relations manager and operations director. In 2014, she made a switch to Advantage Marketing where she was an account trainee for a year before joining the Charlotte Hounds and Charlotte Independence in 2015 as the community relations manager and sponsor services coordinator. Most recently, Pasut served as an account supervisor for GMR Marketing from 2015-2019, supporting Proctor & Gamble (P&G) in planning and implementing global and domestic Olympic Games programs working closely with the USOC and IOC.
 
In addition to working in sports marketing, Pasut has spent considerable time growing the sport of lacrosse in the Charlotte area since completing her playing career. In 2012, she started the SPYA Girl's Lacrosse Program, a 501c3 non-profit serving girls in K-8th grade. In 2015, she became a director and coach for Ultimate Charlotte where she recently became a program director, overseeing all North Carolina programming. In addition, Pasut was an athlete development cohort member and coach trainer for US Lacrosse from 2017-2021, and she has served as the girl's lacrosse program director and varsity head coach at Cannon School since the program's inception in 2021.

"Brittany has unique experiences that make her perfect for the next phase of our growth in Division I.  Our vision is to connect, create, and grow fans and families through an amazing experience and she has the resume proving she can do this. She is intentional and her work proves that she is all about delivering an experience that is memorable and worth repeating. Welcome home, Brittany!"
 
Pasut holds a bachelor's degree from Queens where she majored in communication and minored in marketing. Additionally, as a student-athlete on the women's lacrosse team, the attacker started in every game of her career en route to accumulating 168 goals and 40 assists for 208 points. She also tallied 144 ground balls and 115 draw controls. During her senior season, Pasut scored a team high 56 goals and led the team with 67 draw controls. The season was the best of her career as she was nationally ranked 16th in goals, 18th in goals per game, and 27th in draw controls per game.
 
Following her senior season, Pasut was the first Royal to earn Conference Carolinas Player of the Year honors. She was also named to the IWLCA All-Region First Team and All-American Second Team. Additionally, the Corning, New York native was named to the Synapse Sports All-American First Team and represented Queens as the NCAA Woman of the Year nominee. Pasut was also honored on the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. Currently, Pasut ranks sixth all-time in points and ground balls, third in goals, and fourth draw controls.

Pasut will join the Royals staff after the new year.
