MOREHEAD, KY. – The Queens University of Charlotte women's soccer team (0-2-3) suffered a tough draw at Morehead State University (2-3-1) on Sunday afternoon after leading the first 87 minutes of the match. Senior forward
Nia Gaither made history putting the Royals first Division I goal in the back of the net at the 7-minute mark of the opening half.

With three minutes separating the Royals and their first Division I victory, Morehead State sent their 11
th corner into the box and managed to draw a foul resulting in a penalty kick. The Eagles sent junior Hadley St. Cytron to the line which she easily converted the equalizer.

- Nia Gaither's first half goal is the 20th of her storied career. The senior tallied her fourth multi-shot performance this season, and put a pair on target for five shots on goal in the last two games.
- Senior goalkeeper Erica Turner was flawless in net playing a full match for the 55th time in her remarkable career. The Dublin, Ireland native faced three shots on goal and picked up three saves.
- Freshman Savannah Stuart ripped a pair of shots on the afternoon and put one on net. Senior Hilda Svensson added to the shooting totals with a first half shot and Girah Durant put a shot off the right post in the 84th minute.
- Three Royals, including Erica Turner, Jada Palmer, and Nia Gaither played a full 90-minutes while 18 Royals took the pitch in the non-conference clash.
- The Royals won the shooting battle against the Eagles 8-7. In the last two matches, Queens has taken a total of 16 shots while putting eight on net.
- The Royals defense was on full display again fighting off 11 Eagles corners and four shots on goal.
