ELON, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis team picked up five more victories on day two of the Elon Invitational. All of the wins came in singles play as Sunday will conclude singles action and the doubles finals.
 
The day was spotlighted by Win Steveker as the sophomore reached the Phoenix Singles Finals with two big victories. Steveker took down UNC Greensboro and North Carolina A&T in route to an appearance in the finals on Sunday at 10:45. Steveker will square off against Bruno Serra from UNC Asheville.
 
Edoardo Cecere picked up a convincing 6-1, 6-2 second round victory over Charlotte advancing to the Gold Singles semifinals before falling in three sets to Radford.
 
Samuele Pia and Euan Lynes both picked up victories on day two in singles play against Norfolk State and Longwood.
The Royals will return to the courts for day three of the Elon Invitational on Sunday. The tournament features 14 premier tennis programs from the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
