Queens Women's Basketball Adds Elite Two-Way Player to the 2022-23 Recruiting Class

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball program, and head coach Jen Brown, are excited to announce the addition of transfer guard Adia Brisker to their 2022-23 recruiting class. The Pittsburgh, PA native is making her way into the Queen City by way of Morgan State University after a successful one-year tenure with the Bears.

"Whenever you can add an all-conference and all-defensive player to your program, you know you're moving in the right direction. Adia has the ability to be a difference maker on both sides of the ball. She can create and score at every level. We absolutely love her mindset, work ethic, and passion for the game. Adia is a welcomed addition to our Queens community and basketball family!"

Brisker last played for the Bears during the 2020-21 season where she was a strong two-way player and gathered a nice list of well-deserved accolades. The 5'7 guard averaged 8.0 points and 4.3 rebounds per game, while playing a hand in the Bears' defensive efforts, grabbing 47 defensive rebounds and 19 steals in just 16 games.

She continued to improve throughout the season on both sides of the ball as she helped the team to a 12-4 record, capped off with an appearance in the MEAC semifinal where she shined bright with a season-high 23 points to go along with an 87.5 free-throw percentage and three rebounds. Her on-court efforts earned All-Conference and postseason MEAC All-Tournament Team honors.

Brisker joins the Royals' squad at an exciting time, as she will help the Queens squad as they will compete at the NCAA Division I level for the first time in school history. Fans should stay tuned for more information in the coming months regarding the official schedule release and ticket opportunities.
