ANDERSON S.C. – The No. 50 Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis team suffered a South Atlantic Conference loss on Saturday after falling to No. 38 Anderson University 4-3 on the road at the AU Tennis Complex.
 
The Royals earned the first point of the match with a pair of wins in doubles play, beginning with a 7-6 win at No. 1 by Edoardo Bottino/Edoaro Cecere. The duo of Win Steveker and Yoan Roussinov secured the point with a 6-3 victory at No. 3 doubles.
 
In singles play, the Trojans won four-of-six flights to tally a come-from-behind win on their home court. Queens earned points on No. 2 and No. 3 courts as Edoardo Cecere won  6-4, 6-2 on No. 2 singles and Laurenz Blickwede won 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 on No. 3. Cecere improved to 6-2 on the season from the No. 2 court, including a perfect 4-0 record in league action. Blickwede also remained perfect in conference action at 4-0.
 
Queens is back in action this Monday when the team hosts Wingate University at 2:00 p.m. from the Howard Levine Tennis Center.
