CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Queens University women's basketball team (6-19, 5-19 SAC) ended their regular season this afternoon inside Curry Arena, losing to the No. 22 Wingate University Bulldogs (23-4, 21-3 SAC) by a score of 88-44. Additionally, seniors 
Taylor Stevens and 
Tia McMillian, who both played four years for the Royals, were celebrated for their careers.
 
Queens was led by senior guard Stevens who finished with 13 points while Finley Lefever, 
Kalaya Hall, and 
Malea Garrison finished with seven points apiece. Hall led with three assists and Lefevers led with seven boards. McMillian chipped in six points.
 
Wingate was led by Bryanna Troutman who scored 20 points and shot 8-of-12 from the floor. Ilene Hurley added 13 points and seven rebounds, while Jaia Wilson chipped in 12 points and five assists.
 
The Royals could not get into an offensive rhythm in today's game as they shot 24.6-percent from the floor compared to Wingate's 54.7-percent shooting. Queens had their best showing in the final quarter which was the only period in which they were able to score double-figures as they finished the game strong shooting 47.06-percent from the floor.
 
The Royals' 2021-22 season comes to a close with today's loss.
