Queens Volleyball Takes on Central Arkansas

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Queens headed out west for one of the last road trips of the season, competing in the first of two games against Central Arkansas. The Bears started hot and carried it throughout the match, earning a victory in straight sets (25-9, 25-13, 25-13).

Victoria Wood concluded the first set with three kills, leading the team's offensive attack early on. 

Abbey Criser and Alleigh Johnson spearheaded the Royals offensive attack in the second set with a trio of kills each. Queens managed a better showing in the second set, but were bested, 25-13. 

The third set featured Queens' strongest performance of the night. The young squad got were hot out of the gate, opening the set on a 7-0 run, fueled by a pair of kills by Johnson and a pair of blocks by Kayla McDuffie. Central Arkansas would attempt to claw back, but kills by Anna Law and Johnson would help Queens maintain a five-point lead heading late into the set. The Bears managed a run late and were able to take and maintain a late lead, ultimately taking the match. 

By The Numbers 
The Royals will enjoy Saturday off and return to action on Sunday, November 6 at 2 PM as they take on North Alabama.
