CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte women's soccer team (2-7-4 overall, 2-4-1 ASUN) dropped their Sunday afternoon showdown at Liberty University (10-3-2 overall, 6-0-1 ASUN) by a final score of 2-0. Despite the loss, Queens held the league-leading Flames scoreless for 58 minutes as they battled for the entire 90 minutes.

Turning Point
The turning point of the afternoon proved to be the Flames aggressive attack taking 21 shots and placing 12 on goal. The scheme allowed the league leading Flames to score a pair of second half goals en route to their sixth straight victory.
Key Stats & Notes
- Senior goalkeeper Erica Turner made her 44th career start in net for the Royals. The Dublin, Ireland native faced 21 shots and picked up 10 saves, including a pivotal penalty kick denial late in the second half which gave the Royals momentum. The double digit saves marked the third time this season that Turner has picked up 10 or more saves.
- Senior Nia Gaither recorded her seventh multi-shot performance and placed a pair on target. Gaither leads the team in shots with 25 and shots on goal with 13.
- Sophomore Sarah Kelley provided 40 valuable minutes off the bench and tied her career-high with two shots.
- The Royals backline led by Jada Palmer limited the Flames to a pair of goals as they lead the conference in goals in league play.
- 18 Royals took the pitch on the afternoon. Erica Turner, Jada Palmer, Keely Jackson, and Sophia Muetterties turned in a full 90-minute performance.
- Liberty generated opportunities in the corner 11-2, including seven in the second half.
