Four Royals Post Multi-Shot Performances against North Florida

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team (1-8 overall, 0-3 ASUN) dropped a Monday night match with ASUN foe North Florida (2-6-1 overall, 1-2 ASUN) by a final score of 1-0 at Dickson Field. Despite the loss, the Royals offense battled and won the shooting total 11-5.

The turning point of the evening came in the 49th minute as the Ospreys capitalized on their second corner of the match. Herbie Steigelman sent a cross into the box and Zach Board was in position to finish the play.

  • Senior Felipe Mendonca led the Queens attack ripping a pair of shots and placing both on target. The Salvador native increased his season total up to 16 which is second most on the team.

The Royals originally scheduled match with UNC Greensboro on Wednesday, Oct. 5 has been cancelled due to the schedule adjustment tonight. Queens will return to the pitch on Saturday, Oct. 8 when they welcome ASUN foe Central Arkansas on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 6:05 p.m. Fans can secure their tickets in advance by visiting the Queens Athletics website. The match will be broadcasted live on ESPN Plus beginning at 6:00 p.m.
