Victoria Tredinnick scored twice this evening in the Royals' 3-2 loss at Newberry College (4-4, 1-3). Queens University of Charlotte now sits at 2-7 on the year and 1-5 in South Atlantic Conference Carolinas play following the loss.

After falling behind 2-0 early when the Wolves scored twice in the opening five minutes of play, Queens' Tredinnick answered with a goal in the seventh minute to cut the margin to one, 2-1. The 2-1 score then held until the halftime break.

Queens' Tredinnick would score again the 37
th to knot the match at 2-2 in the third on a penalty stroke, but the Wolves' Lily Drury found the game-winner in the 51
st to give her team their first league win of the season.

Queens was edged in shots 10-9, putting seven shots on goal compared to Newberry's eight shots on goal. Tredinnick led the Royals with her two shots on goal.

The Royals will be back at Bessant Field looking to right the ship on Saturday, October 2. Queens' game with Coker is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
