HICKORY, N.C.- The Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team traveled to Hickory to face No 10 Lenoir-Rhyne in the quarterfinal round of the South Atlantic Conference Championship falling 5-1 to the Bears.

The Royals fell behind early in tonight's game as the Bears put four points on the board in the opening 20 minutes of play. Noah Tiefel scored in just the fourth minute of action and then he found the back of the net again in the 14
th to put his team ahead 2-0. A third goal followed just 40-seconds later, and another came in the 17
th giving the home team a 4-0 advantage.

Queens' lone goal of the night would come from the boot of
Caleb Patsch in the 26
th. The goal was his first of the season. At the half, the Royals trailed the Bears, 5-1.

The Royals were outshot, 21-7, as Lenoir-Rhyne put eight shots on goal compared to Queens' four shots on frame.
Tim Tretbar took the loss in goal after totaling three saves. Juan Basabe of Lenoir-Rhyne also recorded three stops.
