CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The No. 7 Queens Royals cruised to their sixth consecutive victory defeating Lincoln Memorial comfortably, 23-4. The win improves the team's overall record to 8-1 and continues their domination in conference moving to 6-0 on the season.

Rachel Perrett led the way for the Royals as she sliced and diced her way through the Railsplitters defense amassing six points on four goals and a pair of assists.
Kara Blanchard was not far behind as the team's leading goal scorer added four more today and sprinkled in an assist for five points.
Shannon Donovan completed the hat trick and added an assist to finish with four points.
Sydney Bracken and
Ally Blood both ended the day with four points on two goals and two assists.

Queens did not waste time setting the pace of the game and kicked it into high gear early, as the team jumped to a 3-0 lead within the opening two minutes. The Royals didn't consider touching the brakes and instead went full throttle scoring two more to create a 5-0 lead five minutes into the game. The Railsplitters were able to stop the onslaught momentarily scoring their first of the game but this stumble seemed to ignite the Queens team. Lincoln Memorial would barely see the ball over the next 10 minutes as the Royals found yet another gear unleashing eight unanswered goals. Once again, the Railsplitters were able to stop the bleeding for a heartbeat scoring their second of the game, but Queens ended the first half scoring three straight goals to take an impressive 16-2 lead into the break.

In the second half, the Royals slowed down the pace of play just a notch below frantic to truly control the game and keep the ball in one end of the field. Lincoln Memorial didn't have any answers as the Queens defense wasn't giving up any scraps, smothering everything the Railsplitters threw at them. The Royals scored seven goals across the first twenty-five minutes of the second half before Lincoln Memorial closed the game with back-to-back goals.

Queens was overpowering in all facets of the game and the Railsplitters couldn't come up with solutions. The Royals outshot their opponent 39-7 and hit the net on 30 occasions as Lincoln Memorial had all seven of their shots on target. Queens ran their ride with real conviction completing 15-of-17 for an 88 percent success rate. The Railsplitters ran into a ride at the height of its powers as Lincoln Memorial cleared the ball only 8-20 for a 40 percent success rate. Queens scooped up 26 ground balls as the Railsplitters came away with 15, and the Royals won 19-of-27 draw controls.

The Royals are back in action Wednesday, April 7 as they head to Gaffney, South Carolina to take on South Atlantic Conference opponent Limestone. The clash with the Saints is set for a 5 p.m. start.
