HARROGATE, Tenn.- The Queens University of Charlotte softball team (6-12, 2-9 SAC) faced No.4 Lincoln Memorial University (22-1, 11-1 SAC) this afternoon, falling to the Railsplitters in both games of the doubleheader.

Game One: LMU 8 – Queens 0:
Leading 3-0 after the first inning of play, the Railsplitters would stay hot as a triple from Madison Henry in the fourth brought two more runners home. Lincoln Memorial then extended its lead to 8-0 in the sixth to give the game its finals score.

The Railsplitters totaled 11 hits in the game which included two home runs and a triple.

Haley Nelson and
Kate Hunter saw time in the pitching circle during the game. Hunter recorded the loss while Emma Frost of LMU pitched all six innings for the Railspllitters, striking out eight batters en route to recording the win.

Game Two: LMU 8 – Queens 0:
The Railsplitters carried the energy from game one into the second, scoring six runs in the first two innings. They then scored again in the fifth and sixth inning to bring them an 8-0 victory against the Royals. They totaled nine hits in the game, recording four doubles and a triple.

Khristen McPherson and
Victoria Elder would see time in game two in the pitching circle. Elder recorded five strikeouts and the loss. Bailey Griffith took the win for the Railsplitters.

Next, Queens will be travel to Wingate, N.C., to take on the Wingate University Bulldogs. The games will be held Tuesday, March 23 at 1 and 3 p.m.
