Leone Nets Two in Queens Win at Coker

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte women's soccer team collected another conference win this evening defeating Coker University, 2-0, at Coker Athletic Complex. The Royals improved their record to 12-3-1 overall and 8-1-1 in South Atlantic Conference play after earning their 11th shutout win of the season.
 
Freshman forward Maddy Leone scored both goals for the Royals, finding the back of the net in the 22nd minute to score her first game-winnner. She then scored her second of the match in the 64th to give her three goals on the year.
 
Queens played a complete game outshooting the Cobras 16-3 to place seven shots on goal while also allowing just three shots from Coker's offense.
 
Erica Turner earned her 10th clean sheet of the season in goal.
 
The Royals will travel to Greeneville, Tenn., to take on Tusculum University on Wednesday, Nov. 3 to end the regular season. The match is set to begin at 5 p.m.
