CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Queens University of Charlotte releases the Royal Rundown, which previews all of the athletics events for the week of March 4 – March 10.
Queens Coaches Show
As Queens baseball dives into their first official season as a member of the South Atlantic Conference,
Phil Constantino sits down with Queens Head Baseball Coach
Jack McDowell this Thursday, March 7, at 12 p.m. for the Queens Coaches Show at Buffalo Wild Wings at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Uptown. The Queens Coaches Show is a 30-minute interview-style program that airs live on 730 AM The Game ESPN Charlotte and streaming on ESPNCharlotte.net.
Following the show, "Black Jack" McDowell will be available for a 30-minute meet and greet with fans and will be signing autographs inside the restaurant.
Baseball
After claiming their first South Atlantic Conference victory in program history this past weekend over Coker College Queens re-takes the field for a non-conference game against UNC-Pembroke. The Royals and the Braves will play a single-game on Wednesday, Mar. 6 with the first pitch set for 2 p.m., at the Intimidators Stadium in Kannapolis, N.C.

Queens then continues SAC play with a weekend series against Lenoir-Rhyne University. The Royals and the Bears are slated for a 7:05 p.m. game at BB&T Ballpark on Friday, Mar. 8 as a part of the 2019 Sunbelt Rentals Collegiate Baseball Series.
The two teams then head to the Intimidators Stadium in Kannapolis, N.C. for a double-header on Saturday, Mar. 9. The first pitch is set for 1 p.m.

Men's Basketball
No. 9 Queens men's basketball heads into the post-season kicking things off on Wednesday, Mar. 6. The top-seeded Royals will host No. 8 Carson-Newman in the South Atlantic Conference Quarterfinals in Curry Arena. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
The winner of Wednesday's game will advance to the SAC Semifinals which will take place on Saturday, Mar. 9 at 5 p.m. at Timmons Arena in Greenville, S.C.
All children under the age of 12 will receive free admission to the game. All other ticket prices are as follows: Adults - $8, Seniors 65+ - $4, Active & Retired Military - $4, College Students with college ID - $2.
Fans will have chances to win a free week of Queens Basketball Summer Camp, family passes, food vouchers and tickets to Queens Baseball at BB&T Ballpark on March 8. Free t-shirts will be given to the first 50 children through the door!

Men's Golf
Queens men's golf will play in the Southern Tide Intercollegiate hosted by Coker College from Monday, Mar. 4 – Tuesday, Mar. 5 in Greenville, S.C.
Women's Golf
Queens women's golf will compete in the Low Country Invitational hosted by Wingate University. The invitational will take place in Bluffton, S.C. from Monday, Mar. 4 – Tuesday, Mar. 5.
Men's Lacrosse
No. 16/18 men's lacrosse will host Palm Beach Atlantic on Wednesday, Mar. 6 in a 2 p.m. game at Dickson Field. Wednesday's game is also Queens' #SetTheExpectation game where the Royals will be sporting helmet decals with the movements ribbon. The two teams will also partake in a pre-game photo with the #SetTheExpectation banner.
Following, Queens heads down the road to Belmont, N.C. to face Belmont Abbey College on Saturday, Mar. 9. The Royals and the Crusaders will face-off at 12 p.m.

Women's Lacrosse
Following the upset of No. 15 Florida Tech the Royals, who are now ranked No. 22 nationally, continue their Florida excursion with a game versus Embry-Riddle University. The Royals and the Eagles will face-off on Wednesday, Mar. 6 at 4 p.m. in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Queens then return home for a game on Sunday, Mar. 10 when they host No. 3 Florida Southern. Face-off is set for 12 p.m. at Dickson Field.
During Sunday's game the Royals also welcome the AG Middle School girl's lacrosse team. The girls will play in a halftime game and will be able to receive autographs from the players following the conclusion of the match.

Softball
Following a washed-out weekend due to inclement weather the Royals re-take the field on Sunday, Mar. 10 for a double-header versus Lees McRae University. The first pitch is set for 12 p.m. at Park Road Park.
During Sunday's the Royals welcome Myers Park Trinity Little League teams to the field for fun day full of softball!

Tennis
Queens tennis kicks the week off with a match against W. Va. Wesleyan on Monday, March 4. The two teams will face-off at 11 a.m. at the Howard Levine Tennis Center.
Queens then host Francis Marion University on Wednesday, Mar. 4. The Royals and the Patriots will match up at 1 p.m. at the Howard Levine Tennis Center.
Track and Field
After claiming the 2018-19 Men's and Women's SAC Indoor Track and Field Championship title for the second straight year the Royals prepare for the NCAA DII Indoor T&F Championship. Queens will send five student-athletes to compete. Seb Anthony will race in the 800-meter run while Daniel Wallis and Felix Wammetsberger will run in the mile. Wallis will also compete in the 3,000-meter run. Additionally, Gabby Schultz and Martin Knauer will compete in the shot put.
The championships will be held March 8-9 in Pittsburg, Kansas at the Robert W. Plaster Center. Pittsburg State University and the Crawford County Convention & Visitors Bureau will serve as co-hosts of the championships. The championships will be streamed live on

Wrestling
Melvin Rubio will represent Queens wrestling this coming weekend at the NCAA DII Wrestling Championships being held in Cleveland, Ohio from March 8-9. Rubio, who claimed third at the NCAA DII Super Regional II will compete in the 125-weight class for the Royals.
