BUENA VISTA, VA. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's rugby team suffered its first loss of the fall season on the road Saturday afternoon in a close match-up against Southern Virginia University, falling 33-28 at Knights Stadium.
The Royals had three men record one try each in the defeat including
Rylee Ellsworth,
Stanton Johnson, and
Thomas Keay.
Freshman
Carson Green tallied three penalty kicks and two conversions for a total of 13 of the 28 points scored in the loss.
The men return home next to host Old Dominion University in their lone Cardinals Collegiate Rugby Conference (CCRC) match of their fall season Saturday, October 19. Play will begin at 1 p.m.
