CHARLOTTE, N.C.  – The Queens University of Charlotte men's lacrosse team beat the Catawba College Indians, 18-10, at Dickson Field this afternoon for its sixth straight victory. The Royals (8-5, 5-2 SAC) now have also won five South Atlantic Conference regular-season games in a row for the first time ever.

Reed Murphy led Queens with three goals and three assists for a total of six points. Kealan Pilon followed with five points on two goals and three assists, and
Jesse Oliver added two goals and two assists of his own.
Justin Swick also recorded his fourth hat trick in the last seven games.

Nick Rizzieri anchored the Royals defensively with six ground balls and one caused turnover.
Anthony Valenza earned the win with seven saves in just over 48 minutes between the pipes.

After Catawba (5-8, 3-4 SAC) scored first less than two minutes in, Queens went on a run that stretched into the second quarter tallying five straight. Kyle Pucci and Swick each struck twice in that stretch.

Three different Catawba Indians found the back of the net in the second quarter to cut the Royals' lead to two, but Queens would reestablish control before halftime. First,
Eric Fitz called his own number following a timeout and scored with 13 seconds on the clock.
Griffin Stechmiller then snagged a ground ball off the subsequent faceoff and buried a laser with four seconds to spare. The Royals led, 8-4, at the break.

Queens dominated the third quarter outscoring the Indians 7-2. They then went on to extend their lead to as much as 10 in the fourth, with their last two goals coming from seniors
Max Morgan and
Tariek Harris. Harris' tally was his first of the season.

Catawba scored twice in the final two minutes to reach double digits.

The Royals dominated in shots (52-31), shots on goal (32-19), and ground balls (38-15). They also won 21-of-31 faceoffs, with
Drew Flack taking 11-of-18. Flack also led in ground balls on the day with nine.

Dalton Cook and Cole Fanzo paced Catawba with three goals apiece. Hunter Cheuvront took the loss in net, allowing 15 goals while making 12 saves in 45 minutes.

Before the game, Queens honored seniors Morgan, Harris,
Zac Bruso,
Jimmy Heaney, and
Tristen David as they took the home field for the final time in the regular season.

The Royals will wrap up their regular season on Saturday, April 21, when they travel to face Wingate University at 4 p.m. Queens and Wingate split a pair of one-goal games last year, with the Bulldogs winning the SAC title game in overtime.
