HARTSVILLE, S.C.  – The Queens University of Charlotte men's lacrosse team picked up its second straight win this afternoon defeating Coker College, 11-6, on the road. Queens held the Cobras scoreless in the second half of play to move to 4-5 on the year and 2-2 in South Atlantic Conference play. The Cobras fall to 5-5 on the season and 2-3 in league action.

Justin Swick led the Royals recording his second hat trick of the season. Quinn Tallant added two goals and two assists while Kealan Pilon also recorded two goals.
Drew Flack won 18-of-21 face-offs and totaled 17 ground balls, and
Anthony Valenza took the win in goal after recording 11 saves.

After jumping out to a 4-1 lead in the first quarter, Queens found itself trailing 6-5 at the halftime break after being outscored 5-1 in the second quarter of play. The Royals then held the Cobras scoreless in the second half of action while putting six additional points on the board to grab the conference win. Today marks the second consecutive time that the Royals have been able to hold their opponent scoreless in the third and fourth quarters.

Queens outshot Coker, 38-28, putting 23 shots on goal to the Cobras' 17 shots on frame. The Royals also totaled more ground balls, 38-18, and won the face-off battle, 18-3.

Charles Stafford and Denton Wilks led the Cobras with two goals apiece. Chris Hagy took the loss in goal after totaling 11 saves.

The Royals will be back at home on Tuesday, April 3 when they welcome No. 7 Limestone College to Dickson Field. Queens fell in last season's game with the Saints by a score of 17-3. The nonconference game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
