CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The 28th-ranked Queens University of Charlotte men's tennis team defeated Catawba College 8-1 on Tuesday afternoon at the Queens Sports Complex for the team's third South Atlantic Conference win of the season.
 
In doubles play, sophomores Agustin Aran Martin and Sebastian Meum teamed together to win 8-3 for the Royals' first point of the day. Fellow sophomore Julian Bosch and freshman Joel Dunlap also earned a point for Queens with an 8-3 win at No. 1 before the Indians picked up a point with a win at No. 2.
 
Bosch started singles play with a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 2, followed by a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 6 by Dunlap. Meum was a 6-4, 6-2 victor at No. 4 to seal the match decision for Queens.
 
Aran Martin won 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 3 position, before freshman Kasper Rolfsen tallied a 6-2, 3-6, 10-1 win at No. 5. Senior Andor Vas registered the Royals' final point of the afternoon, winning 6-4, 5-7, 10-5 in the top spot.
 
Queens' three-match homestand continues on Thursday, March 29, when the team hosts Coker College at 2 p.m.
