CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Queens University of Charlotte men's rugby team defeated the Blue Devils of Duke University Saturday afternoon, 43-0, in another Division I contest of the fall season at Dickson Field at the Queens Sports Complex.

Queens saw tries from seven different Royals in the match, including
Alex Balladares,
Charles Bradbary,
Prince-Louis Bush,
Richi Cilinceon,
Devinaire Hayes,
Stanton Johnson,
Jharid Morrison, and
Lebo Ngwenya. Sophomore
Charles Bradbary also tallied four conversions.

The Royals dominated in the first half, outscoring Duke 26-0. Sophomore Johnson was the first to score a try just five minutes into play, and a successful conversion made by Bradbary followed. Queens would continue to add points to the board with tries from Balladares, Bush, and Hayes. Two more conversion kicks by Bradbary also added to Queens' early lead in the first half.

The scoring continued in the second half for the Royals with tries from Morrison, Ngwenya, and Cilinceon to make the score 43-0. The Blue Devils would not score in the final minutes of play, sealing the win at home for the Royals.

The squad will travel to Lexington, Virginia next to take on Virginia Military Institute Saturday, October 20. Play will begin at 1 p.m.
