CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team played the University of North Georgia tonight falling 1-0 in the nonconference match. Regionally ranked at No. 6, the Royals now sit at 1-1-1 on the year while the Nighthawks improve to 2-1.
The lone goal of tonight's game would come in the 74th minute of play by North Georgia's Alex Grant off of a pass from Rahmy Baky.
Queens totaled 17 shots to North Georgia's seven with
Alberto Morales leading the way with four shots.
Michael Hornsby added three shots. Queens also led in shots on goal, 4-3, and in corner kicks, 10-3.
The Royals will be back in action Saturday, September 9 at 7:30 p.m. when they will take on Flagler College at the Queens Sports Complex.
