HARROGATE, Tenn. – The Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball team suffered the loss in the first round of the South Atlantic Conference Championships, suffering the quarterfinal defeat to No. 11 Lincoln Memorial. The Royals end the year with a 5-23 overall record while LMU moved to 25-3.

McKell Oliverio ended her Royals campaign earning a spot in the 1,000 point club as one of 13 women's basketball player in school history to earn the stat.

Maggie Stewart led the floor with 22 points adding nine rebounds for the team top.
Sarah Henson added eight points and six rebounds.

A strong first half play gave the Railsplitters control of the game as they quickly jumped out to an 11-0 lead. Although the Royals added points, Lincoln Memorial found a 27-10 lead at the end of the first quarter. Queens slowed the game in the second but the Railsplitters took the half 52-28.

The Royals were just a basket shy of the No. 11 ranked team in the nation in the second half, suffering an 11-8 third quarter before tying the Railsplitters in the fourth at 21 points apiece. Despite the performance, the Royals were unable to make up the first half deficit.

Lincoln Memorial was led by Emily Griffith who tallied 18 points in the game with three steals. Megan Pittman found 12 points and nine rebounds while Shea Coker added another 12 points to the Railsplitters night.

The game marks the end of the Royals historic run, earning a spot in the South Atlantic Conference Championships for the first time in program history and the first time in postseason play since 2013.
