CHARLOTTE N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team, ranked No. 4 in the DII Media Poll and No. 7 in the NABC Poll, defeated Brevard College convincingly this evening by a score of 72-50. The homecoming win over the Tornados moves Queens to 21-1 on the year and 15-1 in South Atlantic Conference play. Brevard falls to 2-19 on the year and 0-15 in the league.

Daniel Camps led the Royals with 16 points today and eight rebounds.
Todd Withers added 15 points, while
Daniel Carr totaled nine points and six assists.
Mike Davis recorded eight points and six rebounds, and
Ike Agusi chipped in with seven points.

Camps got the Royals going today, scoring their first six points before Davis knocked down a three-pointer at 15:08. The Royals went on to lead by 12, 20-8, when
Jalin Alexander scored a triple at 9:30. A 14-2 run late in the half would put the Royals on top by 18 points, 39-21, just under the one minute mark, and they went on to take a 39-23 lead into the locker room.

Queens really took control of things in the second half stringing together runs to lead 55-29 at the midway point thanks to a fast-break layup from Carr. Their largest lead of the day would come later when a layup from
Trevor Recio with 2:41 to play put the home team ahead by 31 points, 72-41.

Brevard was led by Shelby Parris who totaled 16 points. Levi Lamb added 11 points.

The Royals will be on the road for both of their SAC games next week. Their first stop will be a rematch with Wingate University. The Bulldogs handed the Royals their one and only loss of the season thus far on January 18, defeating Queens, 71-64. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m.
