CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team earned the No. 2 seed in the South Atlantic Conference Championships after tying with Lincoln Memorial University for the SAC Regular Season Title. The conference title is the first for the Royals since joining the SAC. It is also the first since the 2010-11 season for Queens, and
Bart Lundy's third as the head coach at Queens.

The Royals will host seventh seeded Anderson University onÂ
Wednesday, March 1Â for the quarterfinal round of the SAC Championships. This will be the third time that the two teams have met this season after Queens swept the Trojans during the regular season. The Royals lead the series, 26-9.

In the first meeting at home Queens defeated Anderson, 75-63.
Todd Withers led with 19 points and seven rebounds, while
Mike Davis added 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists.Â
Jalin Alexander totaled 15 points.

The second time around Queens won 94-92 in overtime. Alexander scored the Royals' two go ahead points at the foul line with six seconds on the clock to secure the win for Queens. Alexander finished with a season-high 31 points after connecting on 10-of-16 shots.Â
Daniel Carr added 16 points after making his second start of the year with starting point guardÂ

Daniel Camps also contributed 16 points, shooting six-of-nine from the floor. He also pulled down six rebounds. Davis added nine points, four rebounds and four assists, while Withers totaled eight points and four rebounds.

Queens enters the game after defeating Tusculum, 80-54, at home in their final regular season game to clinch a share of the SAC Regular Season Title. The Trojans ended their season on a two-game skid, falling to Wingate over the weekend by a score of 84-73.

Anderson took the win the last time the two teams met in the SAC Championships, defeating the Royals back in 2014 by a score of 76-65 in the quarterfinal round.
