Postgame Interview with Todd Withers
Postgame Interview with Lewis Diankulu
Highlights

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. –
No. 2 Queens University of Charlotte remained undefeated after beating Tusculum College, 77-63, on the road this evening. The Royals now sit 7-0 on the year and 2-0 in South Atlantic Conference play. The Pioneers drop to 2-6 on the season and 0-2 in the league.

Todd Withers led the Royals recording his second double-double of the season with 23 points and 11 rebounds. He also totaled three assists, three blocks, and one steal. Mike Davis added 15 points, five rebounds, and five steals while Lewis Diankulu recorded 14 points and six rebounds. Jalin Alexander chipped in with 10 points, and Ike Agusi dished out a new season-high eight assists.

After a three-point bucket from Tusculum's Deshaunte Smith put the Pioneers in front at the start of play, Withers answered with a triple of his own to knot the game at 3-3. The Royals then went on a 28- 9 run to hold a 19-point lead with 9:37 left in the half. However, Queens followed their run with a cold spurt on the offensive end not scoring again until the 5:23 mark out of a 30-second timeout. The Royals then took a 37-32 lead into the break.

Queens continued to be tested in the second half as the Pioneers pulled within two, 49-47, at the 11:25 mark. Fortunately, a dunk from Withers would ignite the Royals offense starting a 12-2 run that increased the margin back out to 12, 61-49. Queens then went on to lead by as much as 16 before the final buzzer sounded giving to visitors a 14-point win on the road.

Peyton Woods led the Pioneers with 12 points. Jackie Davis added 10 points.

Queens returns to action in a week on Saturday, Dec. 9 at Anderson University. The Royals faced the Trojans three times last season defeating them, 75-63, at home and, 94-92, in overtime on the road during the regular season. Queens then hosted the Trojans in the first round of the SAC Championships winning, 79-61. Saturday's tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
