Postgame Interview with Bart Lundy
Highlights

CHARLOTTE, N.C. –
No. 2 Queens University of Charlotte extended its win streak to 10 this afternoon with a 79-71 in over Palm Beach Atlantic University. Queens now sits undefeated at 10-0 on the year following its first matchup in program history with the Sailfish. Palm Beach Atlantic drops to 7-8.

Queens had one of its better performances of the season today shooting 55.6-percent from the floor this afternoon after posting a 60-percent clip in the opening half. Ike Agusi led the Royals in scoring with 13 points this afternoon. The senior point guard also totaled six assists, five rebounds, and three steals. Todd Withers recorded 12 points and seven rebounds while Daniel Carr totaled 12 points. Shaun Willett added 10 points, and both Jalin Alexander and Mike Davis chipped in with nine apiece.

Queens took a 42-39 lead into the break following a first half of play that saw the Royals shoot 60-percent from the floor and the Sailfish shoot 59.26-percent from the floor.

The Royals then stayed in front the entire second half despite Palm Beach Atlantic chipping away at their lead continuously throughout the period. At the 9:42 mark, a three-pointer from Bakari Warthen of the Sailfish closed the gap to just one, 59-58. However, that would be as close as the Royals would allow the visitors to get before increasing their lead out to seven, 72-65, on a jumper from Agusi at 5:31. The Royals saw their largest lead of the day in the closing seconds when Agusi knocked down a pair of free-throws that put Queens in front 79-69 before Jackson of Palm Beach Atlantic of followed with the final bucket of the game.

The Sailfish were able to shoot 53.8-percent from the floor this afternoon against a Queens squad that has held its opponents to an average of just 38.7-percent this season. De'Ondre Jackson totaled 22 points to lead Palm Beach Atlantic while Bakari Warthen totaled 14 points. Grant Gullett added 12 points and Dakota Zinser scored 11 points.

The Royals will be on the road at Coker College for their fifth South Atlantic Conference game of the season on Monday, Dec. 18.
