LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Queens University of Charlotte field hockey team wrapped their road trip to Kentucky today with a game against Bloomsburg University. The Royals fell 4-0 to the Huskies, who completed the 2015 season ranked 12
th in the nation. The loss brings the Royals' record to 2-2, while Bloomsburg improves to 4-1 on the year.
Queens goalkeeper
Miranda Childers completed the day with eight saves after facing 13 shots on goal by the Huskies. The Huskies totaled 27 shots on the day, while the Royals tallied five. Three of Queens' shots were on goal.
A goal in the 25
th minute would give the Huskies a 1-0 lead heading into the break, and they would find the back of the net three more times in the second to secure their win over the Royals this afternoon.
Kayleigh Lawrence and
Mazvita Mtisi notched two shots apiece in the match.
Queens will be back at home on Saturday, September 17 when they welcome Lindenwood to Dickson Field. The match is slated to begin at 11 a.m.
