JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball team extended their win streak to 10 this afternoon with a 112-90 road win over Carson-Newman College. The win helps the nationally eighth ranked Royals move to 10-0 on the year and 4-0 in South Atlantic Conference play, while the Eagles fall to 5-4 on the year and 2-1 in the league.

The Royals shot 59-percent from the floor today en route to scoring a new season-high 112 points. Queens connected on 43-of-73 shots from the floor. They also shot 48-percent from the three.

Ike Agusi and
Jalin Alexander led the Royals with 20 points apiece, while
Mike Davis added 15 points.
Darryl White totaled 12 points and seven rebounds. Agusi also dished out five assists to go along with his new season-high point total.

Shooting 73-percent from the floor, Queens had built a 27-15 lead over Carson-Newman by the second media timeout at 11:32.
Daniel Carr then gave the Royals their largest lead of the first half, 41-25, after completing a three-point play at the foul line coming out of the next media timeout at 6:43. The Eagles responded finding some offense to close the gap to seven, but an 8-0 spurt from Queens at the close would give the visitors a 60-45 lead at the break.

The Royals continued their offensive dominance over the Eagles in the second half putting together strings of runs to lead by as much as 24 points on two different occasions. A layup from
Tate Small at 15:21 put the Royals ahead 78-54, and he later put Queens up 108-84 with a bucket in the paint.

Queens outscored the Eagles 52-38 in the paint, and the bench totaled 36 points compared to Carson-Newman's bench scoring 24 points.

Charles Clark led Carson-Newman with 22 points, while Shaun Jones added 14 points. Sawyer Williams added 13 points.

Queens will return to Curry Arena to take on Coker College on Monday, December 12 at 8 p.m. The Royals swept the Cobras last season, winning 75-67 on the road and 79-68 at home.
