CHARLOTTE, N.C. –The Queens University of Charlotte field hockey team suffered their first home loss of the year this afternoon, falling 3-0 to Limestone College. The loss brings the Royals' record to 7-6, while the Saints improve to 9-8 on the year.

Though Limestone took 11 shots in the first half, they would only find the back of the net once and it would come late in the period. Cameron Felch would be the one to poke the ball in the goal in the 35
th minute to give the Saints a 1-0 lead heading into the break.

The Saints then extended their lead to two in the second half with a goal from Jette Dieckmann in the 44
th minute. Myrlin De Graaf followed with the final Limestone goal in the 50
th.

Queens was outshot 16-7, putting two shots on goal.
Mazvita Mtisi and
Kayleigh Lawrence logged the Royals' two shots on goal.
Miranda Childers completed her time in the cage with six saves.

Queens will return to Dickson Field on Sunday, October 30 when they welcome Mercyhurst University for Senior Day. The game is slated to begin at 11:00 a.m.
